2010 Match Play
After a tough winter that has put a strain on all of our golf swings we had a Champion emerge from the 2010 Bob Pauxtis Memorial Match Play.

It appeared that Dick Rymer had Jack McSherry in the throws defeat after nine holes of play in the final match of the tournament. Then they made the TURN! In playing the front nine which of course was their back nine, Jack fought his way back to only being 1 Down through 17 holes. Both Jack and Dick had a couple of "4's" on nine which sealed the victory for Mr. Rymer but not without Jack putting his rally cap on and attempting to achieve the virtually impossible feat of coming back from a 5 DOWN with 9 TO PLAY. Did I mention that this match involved both players playing to an even handicap so no strokes were awarded. A well fought battle that ended up with Dick Rymer as your 2010 Bob Pauxtis Memorial Match Play Champion with a 1 UP victory on the 18th hole. Thank you for all who played in the event. I hope it was fun and I hope that this match play experience was both rewarding and educational for you all. The results are as follows......

Quarter Finals
McSherry def. Reichenbach (1 UP)
Romano def. Moore (5&4)
Kimel def. Gafford (3 & 1)
Rymer def. Young (2 UP)

Semi-Finals

McSherry def. Romano (4 & 3)
